Tricia Rabalais

Head Trainer

The owner and head trainer is Tricia Rabalais. Tricia started riding at the age of five and received her first t horse, Gold the Great, in 1988.

She started giving pony rides in her front yard to fund her horse habit at the very early age of nine. This progressed to teaching riding lessons at age 13. In January 2000, she purchased 7.5 acres in Maurice, LA and started developing Cambridge Stables from the ground up.

Tricia is a former Pony Club member who competed in Nationals twice. She has also competed in dressage, hunters, jumpers, and eventing. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Family Studies from the University of Louisiana.

Tricia is a past board member of Acadiana Therapeutic Riding Organization (ATRO). As a charter member of the Acadiana Hunter Jumper Association (AHJA), she was instrumental in initiating a local horse show circuit. Cambridge Stables hosts several AHJA horse shows throughout the year.

While young beginner riders are a big part of the lesson program, many of her advanced students have gone on to compete and win in many regional and national competitions.

Cori Kirby

Assistant Trainer

Cori Kirby started her riding career with Tricia in the 90's. She went on to compete in the local circuit and also with 4H. She and her AQHA chestnut gelding, Lucky, formed a strong partnership and won many awards. Cori has a a full time job outside of training, but teaches lessons on Fridays at Cambridge. She has a warm, fun way of teaching and the kids love her!
